Where I’m Headed

In May of this year, I will be heading to Japan! There I will spend 2 weeks traveling between 7 different cities! Of the 7 cities we are visiting, we will be staying in 3 of them! One of the places we are staying is a ryokan, which is a traditional Japanese inn!

Japan Tips

Local restaurants in Japan are unique in that they normally serve only one or two specific types of cuisine. For example: a steakhouse in America will usually serve burgers, grilled meats, salads, sandwiches, etc. In Japan, you’ll have local mom & pop type restaurants that will only serve curry, or one type of noodle, or tempura. And if you truly want to eat like a local, visit Tabelog.com! Tabelog is where the locals make reservations and review restaurants! The locals are tough critics! A 3 star rating is great. A 3.5 star rating is amazing. A 4 star rating is godly! 5 stars? Unheard of! Not even Michelin star restaurants have a 5 star rating!
